WHAT IS NONI?

Noni (Morinda citrifolia) is a tropical fruit that is grown in the Pacific Islands. It has been successfully used for over 2,000 years in Polynesia to treat a variety of illnesses. The most beneficial Noni is grown organically in pollution free volcanic soil.

Some medicinal properties of Noni:

Nutramedix, the U.S. manufacturer of the Noni extract, utilizes a proprietary extraction and enhancement process that provides many benefits, including:

James Howenstine, MD. and medical doctors report that the Nutramedix Noni extract can eliminate the symptoms associated with colds and flu within 3 to 4 hours

In early 2005, physicians at an Eastern European clinic administered Nutramedix Noni extract to patients with acute viral infections.   All physicians reported rapid elimination of symptoms.  In the impoverished country of Bulgaria where very few can afford Noni juice, Nutramedix Noni exract is considered to be a more cost-effective and easier to use remedy than Noni juice.

Physicians report that 30ml (one ounce) of Nutramedix Noni extract is as effective as up to 8 liters of Noni juice from other companies.

In May 2005, pharmacological studies were conducted at the University of Guayaquil in Ecuador. The Nutramedix Noni extract  inhibited inflammation by 99.38%, making it more effective than Pfizer’s best selling anti-inflammatory drug, Feldene (PIROXICAM) that inhibits inflammation by 99.12%.  Tahitian Noni juice from the Morinda company was found to inhibit inflammation by only 33%.

There are dozens of scientific studies that have been published on the therapeutic health benefits of Noni, especially with regard to its remarkable anti-cancer and analgesic properties. The most well known are a series of studies conducted by Annie Hirazumi and Eiichi Furusawa at the University of Hawaii. Equally important are studies from other laboratories in the US, as well as France, China and Japan.

Some of the vital phyto-nutrients contained in Noni that provide nourishment to cells, tissues and organs, fight free radicals, ward off disease, and potentially mitigate or reverse the effects of aging and pollution are:

Polysaccharides: Important compounds that stimulate and modulate the immune system and its response to cancer. Polysaccharides profoundly influence anti-cancer activity on the molecular level.

Selenium: An important anti-oxidant and trace element found in Noni juice that preserves the skin's elasticity, thus slowing the aging process. Selenium also increases oxygen flow to the heart and may prevent blood clotting and hypertension.

Anthraquinones (Damnacanthol): Important antiseptic and anti-bacterial plant chemicals found in Noni juice. They have been shown in laboratory tests to also kill pre-cancer cells, Lewis Lung carcinoma, and prevent DNA damage. They stimulate the immune response to cancer by activating the body's T-cells (especially natural killer T cells). T-cells are extremely important for people suffering from cancer, AIDS, or other diseases which compromise the body's immune systems.

Glycosides: Compounds that prevent cancer and scavenge free radicals.

Scopoletin: A little-known, but hard-working chemical component of Noni juice with many wonderful health benefits. It is anti-inflammatory, anti-histamine, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial. It regulates serotonin, the body's "feel-good" hormone, which helps to ward off feelings of anxiety and depression, and may be why people who drink Noni juice often experience a sense of well-being. It is a vasodilator and lowers blood pressure. It binds to melatonin and helps to regulate sleep, hunger, and body temperature.

Terpene: Rejuvenates cells and rids the body of toxins.

Limonene: A bitter cancer-fighting compound commonly found in Noni juice and citrus fruits.
